
SUMMIT MEDICAL CENTER WELCOMES DR. DAVID JENKINS
August 6, 2009 Summit Medical Center is proud to announce the latest addition to its medical staff, David Jenkins, D.O. Dr. Jenkins has joined the medical center as a hospitalist.
Dr. Jenkins grew up in West Tennessee and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. After working for fifteen years as a software engineer in Dallas, Texas, he decided to pursue his goal of becoming a physician. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Subsequently, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board eligible with the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Jenkins is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and Society of Hospital Medicine.
As a hospitalist with Summit Medical Center, Dr. Jenkins will focus on the care of patients during their hospital stay.
